Chapa Uno Hope Funds is ready to face La Dolfina Dubai, the victorious foursome of the recently concluded Hurlingham Open Championship, in the event-opening match of the Argentina Open Polo Championship, to be held from November 19 to December 9, at the
Campo Argentino de Polo, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Jaime Garcia Huidobro, a Chile-based legendary player of Chapa Uno, spoke with the media about the forthcoming mega fixtures in the Argentina Open Polo Championship.
Describing the way he and his players are preparing for the tough opening match against La Dolfina, he stated that they were only thinking about victory.
In his view, La Dolfina is not an easy foursome, as it constantly changes its rhythm and playing strategies. Huidobro, conversely, stated that they will try their utmost to attain the best-possible beginning in the mega game.
Keeping in view the intensity of the game, he anticipated that it will be a complicated match, full of action and thrill.
It is relevant to mention here that Chapa Uno was at its best in the Hurlingham Open Championship, defeating Pilara Piaget after a competitive show.
Huidobro maintained that they will have to uphold their rhythm, do what they did in the previous event.
Furthermore, he asserted that they will have to avoid mistakes and fouls as those played a vital role in their losses. In his view, they have their own playing strategies and will play according to them.
He continued that Ellerstina and La Dolfina were quite talented teams, having superiority over the others in terms of their horses as well as their skills. In polo like tennis, one cannot guess about victory or defeat, he said.
Huidobro underlined, “But we believe we can, that we can make it an even match, we want to believe this. But we know that in polo, it is complicated to be able to cause an upset at this level”.
He opened that La Aguada will be the most powerful contestant after Ellerstina and La Dolfina in the tournament. Having a single handicap difference with Ellerstina, La Aguada gave a tough time to both the top foursomes in the earlier assignments and went
for a victory, he added.
The Chapa Uno players stated, “I'd say that the good thing is that we're up there, close, we're all in quite good shape, and the Open is getting better each day, nicer for the spectators. And nowadays, nobody can stop you from dreaming of victory”.
Speaking about the next year handicaps, he went on to say that Chapa Uno is expecting positive results in the Argentina Open Championship that will help the team in improving its handicaps’ level.
He was of the opinion that the position will be clearer after playing a couple of games in the tournament.
The confidence and the determination of the players will definitely help Chapa Uno Hope Funds in achieving its aims and targets.
