  1. It's a public park. It's like saying someone wants to charge me money to go to Central Park in NYC.

    It's free.

You have the option of renting a little boat for a while which shouldn't cost more than 10 dollars.

I think the zoo costs 5-7 dollars, been a while since I've last been there.

    Museums are free on Sundays.

Six Flags (while it's a great themepark) isn't even remotely near downtown Mexico City where Chapultepec is. It's in the far southwest near the Ajusco mountain crossing lots and lots and lots of wonderful traffic. If you want to go there, you have to go on a Saturday morning REALLY EARLY. Get there early when there is almost no people, bring a bag of beans or rice as a donation for the poor and you get great discounts, ride a bunch of rollercoasters and spend the rest of the day walking around Coyoacán enjoying the atmosphere and the nice restaurants and bars.

If you want to stay in the Chapultepec area, there's a thempark in the area called "La Feria de Chapultepec". The entry is like 5 dollars or something and it's for all day and for most of the rides. It's an okay park with some good rides but I find the place to be filled with a lot of naco people. I remember seeing this hideous looking woman who weighed like 150 pounds who was only wearing a tiny tank top and hadn't shaved her armpits ever in her life. You could virtually see the drops of sweat dripping from the hairs.

As for food, Chapultepec is filled with little taco stands that you'll find everywhere else in the city. Please be warned that foreigners have a high tendency of getting traveller's diahhrea after eating in these kinds of places. I eat in tacos joints all the time and the trick is that if your hands aren't washed, don't touch the food!!! Fold the food with a napkin or something since you don't eat tacos with a fork. I do love eating in those joints because the food is so cheap and so great. I rarely get sick eating there.

I'd agree with you not wanting to buy souvenirs at Chapultepec, there isn't really good stuff there, mostly just plastic dinosaurs or paint your kid's face for 3 dollars (remember that the park is a fun place for the locals, not a tourist trap per se). You might be lucky and find some nice silver jewelry there though.

    Have fun!

  2. Almost NOTHING.

  3. For chapultepec park  free, for antropology museum around 3 dollars theme parks like six flags around 20 us dlls. other museums 2.50 us dlls. sunday in all the public museums  almost free.

  4. i don't believe you have to pay to go to the park. don't worry about the food there's food everywhere. if you get you might see  native people doing so cool stuff. sometimes they climb poles and swing from them. idk how to explain it but its kool. amusements, museums, and zoo they  charge but it shouldn't be a lot you should be fine with 100 dollars for eveything. take some extra it you want to buy souvenirs
