Character Name - Alexa or Janine?

Question

The character is a sophomore year high school girl with dirty blond hair and green-hazel eyes. She's sort of quiet and daydreamy in the beginning of the story, but later she's put through a very dangerous dilemma that will challenge her true strength and bravery. I'm considering Alexa and Janine - which do you prefer? [no other suggestions - just pick between the two!]

what is the character for? a book, a play, a movie? i guess it doesn't really matter does it. Alexa is a nice name, but i think that it has been played out too much in recent years so if it were up to me i believe that i would go with Janine.  to bad you're not open to other suggestions though. i hope i helped.

janine because it is not over used and sounds both shy and out going it also fits the description of her looks better

Janine is ...well, I just don't like it for the character you described...I keep picturing someone weak, boring, or (for some reason) a secretary in a high school office...i dunno

I like Alexa because it has a sweet connotation, but I can see her being a strong heroine too. I think overall Janine is too sweet, girl-next-door to fit the character. I hope I helped! Good luck with you story and have fun ( :
