a. convergent evolution, cladogram, reproductive isolation.

b. reproductive isolation, evolutionary history, shared derived characteristics.

c. binomial nomenclature, shared derived characteristics, evolutionary systematics.

d. derived cladistics, evolutionary history, convergent evolution.

is it c?

Similar genera are grouped into a(n)

a. phylum

b. class

c. family

d. order

Food webs are more commonplace than food chains because

a. many animals that comprise the links in a food chain are migratory.

b. organisms almost always eat, and are eaten by, many different organisms.

c. over time, food chains will become food webs.

d. all of the above.

a doesnt seem to make any sense to me and b and c are good. d would be left out also...i think... so, I have to choose a best answer. would it be c?

The relationship between population growth and resources can be described as

a. inverse; as one goes up the other goes down.

b. parallel; when one goes up so does the other.

c. complex; there are many contributing factors.

d. equal; they both level off in any population.

Is it a or c? I mean, I know for a fact that as a population increases rapidly, the resources go down. But if I put it the other way around, then it wouldn't make sense: as resources go up, populations go down.

So I'm unsure about a. I know that b is incorrect and so is d. So is it a or c?

  1. This biology homework is easy - can't you find it in your textbook? All of those things were specifically mentioned in my Texas biology textbook.

If you can't do this by yourself, you'll never pass the exit exams! Go right on back to the diagrams and descriptions.

And that last question -c'mon that is the easiest one of them all. It's A!

  2. The answer to the first one is c..binomial nomenclature is the system scientists use to classify organisms in the genus and species order.

no. 2- Genera means genus. similar genuses are put into a family. Ex: dogs. wolves and coyotes are in the same family. B is the answer to three because it means that food chains are too simple to work in nature, and they are because of the biodiversity of organisms. the resource and population answer is c- there is a complex nature

to population growth includin predatory factors and disease factors.

to the coal burning question: A is the answer. The coal will go to the cloud formations and become Si02 and the rain carries it to the community.

  3. 1. the answer is:

b). reproductive isolation, evolutionary history, shared derived characteristics.

(option (c) cannot be chosen, as binomial nomenclature is not USED to CLASSIFY the organisms.. rather, nomenclature is ASSIGNED in the classification)

reproductive isolation determines the "species" to which it belongs..

    2. Similar genera are grouped into a:

    c) family

    3. the answer is:

    b)  organisms almost always eat, and are eaten by, many different organisms.

    4. The relationship between population growth and resources can be described as :

answer can be both option a) or option b).

    question is vague.

priority can be given to option (a)

but population growth not only depends upon the resources, but also on the climatic factors, adaptations, and the predators as well.. these may act as contributing factors..

therefore, we can choose the option (C)

    5. A community located downwind from a power plant that burns high-sulfur coal

    a) may experience the effects of acid rain.

(answer can not be option (c), as ozone layer lies higher than the surrounding air of such power plants)

    hope that helps..
