  1. International flights still get 2 bags 50 pounds a piece. If your traveling domestically you get one free bag on Delta and 2nd bag is 25.

  2. Delta is charging $25 for the 2nd Bag. The first checked bag is free within the U.S., Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Southwest is charging $25 for the 3rd Bag as the 1st and 2nd checked bag is free.

    Checked Baggage

You can check one bag per passenger free of charge when traveling in the U. S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. If traveling outside the U.S. you can check two bags free of charge. Third - Fifth Checked Bag is a fee of $150

    Each bag must:

        * Weigh 50 pounds (22.5 kg) or less.

        * Not exceed 62 inches when you total length plus width plus height.

  3. sometimes they do but others never it also depends on which air travel company you are using

  4. It's just American Airlines.

Depending on when you bought your ticket you may get some baggage checked for free.

    Check the website below.

  5. 1. No. The only airline that is currently charging for the first checked bag is American Airlines, and even they are waiving their $15 fee for international flights:

It shouldn't matter that you're flying internationally - typically people who do so are staying in another country for a week or two, and the airlines know that checked baggage is usually needed in these cases. Just be sure not to go over the weight limit - it's 44 pounds per person, including your carry on and checked bag.
