Charitable Companies....?

Question

I am doing Relay for Life, which is sponsered by the American Cancer Society. We raise money for finding a cure for cancer, and then in June, we all come together and have an all day relay (just really walking around a track at a high school).

Does anyone know of any companies that are willing to give some money out to these kinds of charities? I went to Wallmart already, and they gave us $1,500.

You can try any corporation in your area, even small business would like to donate to charitable causes. It helps with public relations and ties to the community, and honestly they can write it off ;)

I don't know where you're located but try the managers at places such as your local bank, big box stores like Target, Macy's, Dillards, Walmart (as you mentioned),  - Restaurants like Chilis, Outback, Cold Stone, Cheesecake Factory, Pizzaria Uno - if you get out there and be really positive and show them energy and commitment, I'm sure they will support you.

Also see if your local library will allow you to put up a flyer or signs describing the event and asking people to contribute. i'm sure there are many opportunities in your community for support.
