Question:

Charity Golf Tournament, please help.?

I'm thinking of organizing a charity golf tourney. The question is this: Is my little, local event too small to get big names (Nike, Calloway, etc) to donate money, and/or prizes?

Also, I want to hold it at a well-known golf club. Would that help?

  1. Big names no, BUT the local golf shop can bring some demo stuff and use their [Taylormade, Nike, Callaway, etc) banners at the site.  The local shop might be much more interested.

Where is this going to happen?  What charity?

  2. You could invite ME, but, I'm dead. Nobody likes slow play.

  3. Not likely to get the big name club makers. There are thousands of this type event and they simply cannot be every where. They are looking for good advertising and a return on their investment. Show them what they are going to get and you may have a shot.

  4. it never hurts to talk to any big name company about a charity event. most likely you wont get anything but you never know. look around for more local companies or local sports stores to donate. If you are looking to make this a yearly event then you might eventually be able to get some help by big names.
