Charity collectors in the street?

What do you think of the people who stand in the streets and sudddenly try to accost you to give to charity...personally i hate it and prefer not to be pestered into giving...what is your opinion

Can't stand them but they aren't as bad as clipboard women who ask you every time you walk past even when you said no to their friend they'll still ask you. I'm talking about the ones who are doing surveys or want you to get a catalogue. Some even BEG you to give them your details to get a catalogue. Sad or what?

I tell them no, I only give to cancer research and Marie Curie.

I avoid most of them but if there is a particular charity that is collecting I will give them some loose change.  I hate the ones who continue talking long after you've walked past them.  Or what about the ones who put on a fake smile and say And how are you today sir, isn't it a great day, could I have 2 minutes of your time....no, no, no just go away and leave me alone.  If I see them on the street I usually cross over to the other side of the street to avoid them.
