Charity event for my school?

Ok, so at our school we are trying to raise money for skin cancer (skin cancer awareness month is in May, i think). And we can no longer have a raffle, or anything that is giving away prizes, because of our state laws. What eles can we do to raise money for skin cancer?

Here are some examples:

-We are going to sell carnations to people. Which isnt agisnt state laws. We just can't hold fund rasing events that give out prizes for stuff, like raffle.

-Take a period out of the day to educate people on skin cancer, and have real doctors talk aobut it. Basically people will go to the auditorium and we will give lectures, as well as let doctors tell about it.

Yeah, so if there are any other suggestions please give them here. Even if you think that they are stupid. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, just not TOO bizarre.

A BBQ is always a good idea, and business may donate to your cause. Supermarkets may give you a discount on a large purcase.
