Charity to assist trafficked s*x workers in Scotland or the UK?

I would like to raise money for a charity that assists people who have been trafficked into the UK as s*x slaves. However I cannot find a charity for this issue. I am unable to do this for those working in prosititution in general because the money will be raised via my place of work and they have told me this isn't possible.

If you know of any charities or projects please let me know!

Thanks.

  3. I may be reading this wrong, but it sounds like you're saying that the UK and Scotland now

have s*x slaves living in their countries???

    And it's not illegal???

Doesn't the police seek out these women

and free them? and put the perps in jail?

This is sure an eye-opener for me!

Smurfit - yes it is illegal and the traffickers are prosecuted if caught, but someone needs to take care of the women once they are freed. They would be in the UK illegally, but need time to recover before any asylum claim is made.

  5. Amnesty had a campaign and an exhibition of material about such peoples lives in Leeds last year. I believe they campaign for the rights of these people.
