  1. You can contact Oxfam or Christian Aid or Muslim Aid.

    Good luck..

  2. hi im not sure whether this is what you are looking for but I once did volunteer work with a (UK) organisation called concordia. They organise volunteer projects around the world and there are loads to choose from.  For a project in Europe they charge around £100 fee and you also pay for travel, but they provide food and accomodation free. A project in another continent would obviously be a bit more expensive, im not sure how much. The projects are typically 2 to 3 weeks

  3. The best way to volunteer abroad is to contact small charities directly.  Unfortunately the small ones rarely have websites so aren't usually easy to contact.

Children Walking Tall is a UK charity based in Goa, India which provides help to Slum and Street children, there is a deposit of £50 which is returned after the minimum duration of three months.

The volunteers are responsible for their own accomodation, food, travel etc which is normally a fraction of the cost of what the companies charge.

As you are preferably looking at a month this might not help but here's the link www.ChildrenWalkingTall.com

Just so you are aware I am part of Children Walking Tall

  4. Don't know of any,was checking them out afew years ago.I think it's disgusting making people pay to work for them and charge them a ridiculous amount of money. They're all scams and taking advantage of good hearted people.

You'd be better off taking yourself off somewhere nice and cheap, chilling out and spending the money on yourself instead of giving it to these leaches!

  5. I am working in an orphanage & panda sancutuary this summer through my school....

I have seen similar programes  advertised in  newspapers with holiday sections....

Decide what type of help you can give to people, and where you might want to go from there.... then type in a country & childcare or something in to google.... Think of what skills you could bring to the work you do....

for my trip i also needed to buy a lot of camping equipment & my vaccinations cost £150..... so you may want to put that in to consideration too.

good luck, I know that wasnt much help, it will be a really rewarding experience! =]
