  1. Your Q is a bit confusing, no offense.

The PLACE might actually be the least of your challenges.

"I WANTED TO DO" might suggest you haven't pulled it all together yet? CHARITIES also doesn't suggest which one, or that you've contacted any with your idea. I suggest it might be ethical at the very least to have some OK, to do for a named organization.

A cast could rehearse in a house. Obviously to make the notion viable you'd need a venue allowing enough seating to actually benefit a charity. This isn't exactly like a school marching band, car wash.

To pay (donate) money to see a performance, the audience should be assumed to have a passion for the charity, and even if they pay more (Donate) more than what is reasonable, they should still be offered a valid show.

I'll also assume you want a venue at NO cost. I'd probably contact the local Chamber of Commerce first, then churches, meeting halls, schools with auditoriums, realizing in all your notions there are issues of liability to the audience, etc.

Beyond that??? "I have an old book of plays" is a bit confusing. Are they still OWNED by anyone? Are they so OLD as to be public domain? Because you WANT TO, doesn't strictly mean you have the rights to.

I suggest you have far more to research than just a venue.
