Charl Schwartzel threatening to grab lead from Branden Grace in Volvo Golf Champions: Live Leaderboard
Grizzled veterans are now closing in on overnight leader, Branden Grace, as the young South African has now fallen for two bogeys in his four opening holes.
While the 23-year-old has successfully held the lead so far, he is likely to fall down the leaderboard as the play proceeds on third day of the event.
Masters winner Charl Schwartzel, moved in closer to the lead, with a stunning eagle at par-five, 9th before making the turn and carded two birdies in on the front nine in the morning. He is four-under for the moment, two shots behind Grace.
First round leader, Nicolas Colsaerts is also relying heavily on his record-breaking knock in the opening round and is one-under for the moment.
The Belgian started off the third round on a hazy day at The Links at Fancourt, and stumbled on a bogey on the very first hole.
He regained his composure to pull in two birdies and is still playing the front nine. He sits on joint second, along with Schwartzel and fast approaching Retief Goosen.
Goosen, after a round of 68 on the second day, has carded just one birdie on the front nine and will be hoping to perform better on the back nine.
Spaniard Jose Marai Olazabal, who finished his round as outright fourth on the second day, has now dropped to an outright fifth owing to the dreadful bogeys at the start of the day.
He opened up his third round with a bogey on the first hole and stumbled on another on the third. He managed to pull in a birdie to compensate for the loss and is still working on his front nine.
Three players are tied for the sixth place for the moment, Thomas Aiken, Padraig Harrington and Louis Oosthuizen. Harrington managed to card a birdie on the ninth and made the turn to fell for a bogey.
Meanwhile, Oosthuizen, winner of the 2010 Open, also had a lacklustre day so far, falling for two bogeys and carding just one birdie.
Aiken probably had the worst start of the day when he stumbled on a dreadful double-bogey on the very first hole.
Joost Luiten, who performed well the previous day to surge up into contention, also fell in for two double-bogeys and has now lost his chances to surge up the leaderboard.
