im gonna be very thankful for the help!!! we got this project and i got the part australia anyone knows what did he discovery in there? for example kind of animals etc. or also what he been doin there.. thanks

  1. Charles Darwin did visit Australia during his voyage on the Beagle. He saw kangaroos and platypuses, among other things, in Sydney.

    He kept a diary on the Beagle, and you can read his actual entries from his time in NSW online at the second link below.

    No, he has never been to Australia. Can you imagine what he would think of the strange and unique animals we have here if he did? "Origin of the species" would be a totally completely different book and it might even throw out the theory of evolution out the window.

  3. Charles Darwin didn't come to Australia. Darwin the city was named in honour of him by his friends who had sailed on the "Beagle" with him - but he was not on it at the time.
