Charles Katis clinches Men’s 100m breast-stroke title – USA Swimming Long Course Junior Nationals
Day four of the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Junior Nationals got-off to a flying start with the impressive splash of Charles Katis in Paloalto, California, on Thursday, August 11.
The final session of the meet held the Men’s 100m breast-stroke finals, in which Katis won the gold medal win a winning time of 1 minute and 03.31 seconds. Daniel Le of Blue Devil Swim earned silver medal on the podium in a time of 1 minute and 03.76 seconds,
while Connor Dwyer of Longmont Swim Cl grabbed bronze in a time of 1 minute and 04.08 seconds.
Zachar Stevens of Puma Aquatic Tea finished fourth in a time of 1 minute and 04.28 seconds, whereas, Kean Stevenson of Alamo Area Aquat snared fifth spot in the respective meet in a time of 1 minute and 04.38 seconds. William Young of YMCA of Western finished
sixth in a time of 1 minute and 04.53 seconds, while Gunnar Bentz of Dynamo Swim Club wound up seventh in a time of 1 minute and 04.58 seconds. Finally, Max Cartwright of Aquajets Swim Te was placed eighth in a time of 1 minute and 04.85 seconds.
Afterwards, Scott Haeberle of Counsilman Cente won the Men’s 100m breast-stroke B final meet with a winning time of 1 minute and 04.96 seconds. Jack Pohlmann of Dayton Raiders finished second on the podium by submitting a time of 1 minute and 04.97 seconds,
whereas, William Licon of Una Ntro earned third in a time of 1 minute and 05.07 seconds. Brandon Young of Tucson Ford Deal was placed fourth by posting a time of 1minute and 05.22 seconds. Ian Boggs of Zionsville Swim wound up fifth in a time of 1 minute and
05.24 seconds.
Kyle Yu won the Men’s 100m breast-stroke C final with a sterling time of 1 minute and 05.01 seconds. Joseph Daniels of Fort Worth Area finished second in 1 minute and 05.17 seconds, while Michael Nelson of Phoenix Swim Clu rounded out the top three in 1
minute and 05.28 seconds.
