Charles N’Zogbia desperately waiting to make his debut for Aston Villa – EPL News
Influential winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 N’Zogbia, has asserted that he is working very hard in the pre-season training to attain the minimum fitness level required to play in the upcoming 2011/12 Barclays Premier League and is desperately waiting to wear Aston Villa
shirt.
Aston Villa signed the French winger from Wigan Athletic for £9.5 million in order to replace Ashley Young and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 respectively.
The 25-year-old is confident that he can fill the void left by the outgoing wingers and has claimed that he is anxiously waiting to play his first game for the Villans.
The French international is likely to make his debut in Aston Villa’s friendly match against Europa League runners-up, Sporting Braga.
The former Latcis winger also confirmed his participation in Villa’s upcoming friendly against Braga and has insisted he has been looking forward to his debut for the past three weeks.
The French international told the reporters, "I hope so, I've been working really hard for two or three weeks so I'm just waiting to play games and get to Premier League fitness level.”
N’Zogbia believes that he needs some match practice in order to get his rhythm ahead of the upcoming 2011/12 premier league campaign. “I've been training and working hard and I just need more games now. You can feel it on the pitch if you're tired, but I'm
not.”
The 25-year-old is looking to replicate his last season’s form and is confident of making a huge impact at the Villa in the next campaign.
Aston Villa finished in the top half of the table despite spending most of the season on the wrong side of the standings. The Villans managed to finish ninth last season, and N’Zogbia is now aiming for a better finish in the upcoming term.
The French international has claimed that Aston Villa have the quality and strength to qualify for a European berth.
"Top six would be a good challenge, and we definitely have the players to do that," the 25-year-old concluded.
Charles N’Zogbia is expected to make his competitive debut in Aston Villa’s Premier League opening fixture against Fulham.
