Charles Pic joins Quaiffe-Hobbs, Wickens to drive for VRT at 2011 YDT in Abu Dhabi, Formula 1 news
GP2 driver Charles Pic will be joining Robert Wickens and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs to complete the driver line-up for Virgin Racing Team at the 2011 Young Driver Test which is scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 15 at the Yas Marina Circuit.  
During the three-day test, the 21-year-old Frenchman will be seen in action on the afternoon of November 15 and the entire following day i.e. November 16, while Wickens will be first driver to test for Virgin on Tuesday morning and Quaife-Hobbs will be the
last guy on the seat of MVR-02 on Thursday, November 17, 2011.
The team had initially finalised a deal with Wickens and Quaife-Hobbs earlier this month, and upon confirmation that Pic will also be a part of the trio, the team is extremely delighted.
Team Principal John Booth expressing his joy said, “We're delighted to be able to offer Adrian, Charles and our Reserve Driver Robert Wickens seat time in the MVR-02 next week and in return we look forward to some convincing performances from all of them.”
Booth is looking forward to some great performances from the three drivers who should in return utilise this opportunity to their maximum towards establishing a solid career in Formula 1.
The YDT is an amazing platform for young drivers to exhibit their driving skills and make a major leap in their careers, he said.
The drivers too are very excited at the moment and feel really fortunate upon getting an opportunity which is every racing driver’s dream. Having made to the YDT, the drivers are all set to working together with the team and learning as much as they can.
Pic, who is currently ranked No. 4 in GP2 feels really proud to be a part of the Young Driver Test and said, “It’s going to be a very special moment for me, one I have been waiting for my whole racing career! Formula 1 is my goal so I will be putting everything
I have into the test and look forward to the experience of working with the team and learning as much as I can from them.”
