  1. For security reasons, storage lockers have been removed from most public areas (airports, bus stations, train stations even at shopping malls (centres commercial)!

There are ATMs at CDG, but they sometimes can be difficult to find. In my travels, I have seen many helpful employees at CDG who could direct you to one, but that may not be a true experience for everyone.

I recommend carrying a backpack/rucksack for your carry-on bag. If you plan on navigating the Métro, going through the entry and exit gates while dragging something behind you can be dangerous.

  2. No lockers. ATM's are fine.

My suggestion would be getting a dayroom at the Sheraton at Terminal 2. That way, you could leave your bags, take a quick tour into the city, return to the hotel, shower, change and be all fresh (and ready to sleep) for the continuation of your journey.

I also suggest taking the Air France bus rather than the metro since it's a bit more secure. There were a lot of pickpockets on the RER, some even my French coworkers. Also, you don't have to change.

  3. No lockers. Lots of ATMs. Most bank cards work without difficulty.

You could try a cheap airport hotel; leave your bags there for 12 hours. It would give you a chance to shower too.

There is an RER train from the airport to downtown. It's a lot cheaper than a taxi, but maybe not as quick. For your return, if you take an RER train, be sure you know which one to take. There are all kinds of codes and some trains will branch off to suburbs near the airport, but not actually at the airport.

  4. ATM machines yes. Storage lockers no.
