Charleys Noire to take down Goa Girl for stealing the Heat & Combustion Ltd Stayers Stakes
It is being expected that the three-year-old black b***h, Charleys Noire, will set a bench mark for the rest to follow in the Heat & Combustion Ltd Stayers Stakes on Sunday, 30th September at Coventry. The 672 metres challenge is taken up by six highly versatile hounds who are aiming at the £200 prize money tonight.
Taking part are Express Legend, Pony Bride, Curragh Kewell, Goa Girl and Billis Scorpion.
Charleys Noire has drawn the sixth box which will give the S. Aveline trained the chance to cover ground distance by drawing wide and, thusly setting in a target for the rest of the lot to achieve.
Bidding for the hat-trick tonight is the C. Allsopp trained, Goa Girl. She has been racing at the open level since quite some while now, and struck a back-to-back through the last two outings.
Crash's daughter grabbed the £200 prize money of the Tom Fruit Stayers Trophy on 16th September, 2012 at Coventry over 672 metres. Having drawn the third trap, she was quick to set into the desired pace, and monopolised the lead by staying prominent throughout the track distance.
Her strong stance had her sealing the fate of the race in 41.82 seconds, and defeated the favourite entry of the race, Crinkill Jewel, by four lengths.
Taking up the third position behind the winner was, Cuil Marian.
Retention of the winning form got her the Follow Us @Ladbrokes Stayers on 20th September, 2012 at Yarmouth over 659 metres.
Her fourth trap allowed her to establish an early pace, draw wide, and cover ground. Eventually leading from the third position had her timing the track distance in 40.55 seconds.
Settling into the second after missing the by a mere neck’s margin was the favourite entry of the race, Jaytee Monroe.
The K. Hutton trained, Pony Bride, is a potential threat too as she wavered from the winning position just in her last outing after striking in a back-to back at Hove over 695 metres.
The last time that she won was on 13th September, 2012 in the Gala Coral Stayers at Hove over 695 metres. It took her 41.93 seconds to rest the race.
