Charlie Adam believes he can handle the high pressure at Liverpool next season – EPL News
Newly signed Liverpool midfielder, Charlie Adam, is confident that he has the experience to handle the high level of pressure at Anfield in the upcoming 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season.
The former Blackpool skipper, who completed his £7 move to Liverpool last month, has asserted that his experience of playing for Scottish giants, Rangers, will help him cope with the expectation levels at the Merseyside club.
Kenny Dalglish’s men will not feature in any European competition next season but they are surely aiming to earn one of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League spots. Adam has already featured in the Elite European competition during his time at Rangers and believes
that his Champions League experience will help hugely in settling down at Anfield.
Adam told the reporters, “I was at a big club at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314. I've played in the Champions League so at the end of the day I know what it will mean to play for this club.”
Liverpool are being heavily tipped to challenge for the Barclays Premier League title as they have spent over £100 million on new players since January. Adam acknowledged that the higher levels of expectation at Anfield and claimed that Kenny Dalglish’s
men have to produce positive results every week in order to match the fans’ expectations.
"We need to win every week, that's the expectation. That's a good challenge for the lads and part and parcel of being at a big club," the 25-year-old added.
Adam has revealed that it is a huge honour for him to play under fellow Scotsman and one of the greatest managers in the history of football, Kenny Dalglish.

"It's a privilege to be here. I want to try and play as well as I can,” the 25-year-old concluded.
