Charlie Adam hails Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Chelsea – EPL News

Influential Liverpool midfielder, Charlie Adam, has heaped praise over the Reds’ impressive performance in the recent 2-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool made a trip to Chelsea in round 12 of the ongoing 2011/12 Barclays Premier League. The Reds started the fixture impressively and also scored the opener after poor defensive display from the hosts.

Adam has now asserted that the Reds were fully aware of the difficulties while playing at Stamford Bridge. However, the 25-year-old has hailed his team’s extraordinary performance and believes that it was the best for Liverpool to bounce back from their
last few disappointing results.
The Scottish international told the reporters:
“We knew it was going to be difficult but we’ve got good players ourselves and I thought we played terrific and it’s a good way to bounce back after a difficult few weeks.”

goal.

Both teams wore black armbands during the match, paying respect to Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones’ son, who died recently. The second choice custodian’s five-year-old son died due to leukaemia, and a number of Liverpool players dedicated the to Brad Jones.
Charlie Adam also revealed his condolences to the Australian goalkeeper and said:
“I’d like to dedicate [the win] to Brad Jones whose had a difficult week losing his son.”
