Newly signed Liverpool midfielder, Charlie Adam, has revealed his ambition to win silverware with the club and has insisted that he will give his best to deliver trophies at Anfield.
Adam recently joined Liverpool from Blackpool and is determined to give his all to bring the Merseyside club back into the top four of the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has hailed the support shown by his new mates in helping him settle at the Merseyside club.
“The lads have received me really well and helped me ease into the team. And I'm happy this has shown on the pitch so far.” The player told the club’s official website.
The former Blackpool skipper is willing to sacrifice his attacking position in midfield in order to help Liverpool win the Barclays Premier League.
“But I came to Liverpool to win titles and I would trade in anything for that, even if it meant not scoring at all next season,” added Adam.
Adam is being realistic and has claimed that it will be hard for Liverpool to win the Barclays Premier League next season. However, he is confident that with the new signings the Reds will be able to mount a stronger title challenge in the next campaign.
The 25-year-old midfielder added, “It's going to be tough, but with our latest signings I'm confident enough to say that we will pose a genuine assault for not only the Premier League, but for the cups as well.”
Liverpool have plethora of options in the midfield as they have signed three more midfielders in the current transfer window. Along with Charlie Adam, the Reds signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 has also rejoined
the Merseyside club after completing a successful loan spell at Juventus.
Adam is aware of the competition for the midfield positions and has claimed that it will only benefit Liverpool.
“I think the competition for places will be good for the club. I thrive on that type of challenge and I'm sure the others lads will as well,” Adam concluded.
Charlie Adam scored 13 goals in 36 matches for Blackpool last season and will look to continue with the rich goalscoring form.
