Liverpool midfielder, Charlie Adam, has welcomed the extraordinary competition for first team places in the Reds squad and has stated the Merseyside club will only benefit from the situation.

While Adam has managed to make a name of himself at Liverpool, the midfielder has conceded that no one is guaranteed a first team place in Kenny Dalglish’s squad. The 25-year-old has revealed that every player has to work hard in order to justify his selection
in the Reds’ starting eleven.
The Scottish international told the reporters, “There are top international players in every position here. It means you know you have a battle just to get your place. As a footballer that's what you want, big challenges and hopefully I can keep challenging
for a place. 
Adam was a revelation at Blackpool last season. The Scotsman inspired the Tangerines to a number of impressive wins. His outstanding form with Ian Holloway’s side attracted interest from a number of clubs.
After rejecting a move to join Liverpool in January 2011, Adam joined the Merseyside club in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old believes his transfer to the Anfield club was a reward of his hard work in the last season.

as well as I can," the former Blackpool skipper concluded.
Charlie Adam has scored two goals in 13 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
