Charlie Lister’s Taylors Cruise has been revoked from the Williamhill.com All England Cup due to hock injury
After giving an outclass hit on the dirt track of Newcastle, Charlie Lister’s champ, Taylors Cruise, confirmed his trap in the Williamhill.com All England Cup Semi-Final, covering 480 meters, with odds of 6/4 in the heats. The hound was expected to verify his ownership for the purse by winning the second round of the combat.
With his numerous achievements, Lister’s victorious beast has made himself quite renowned in the world of greyhound racing.
Back in 2010, he was declared as the purse winner in the Sunderland Puppy Plate.
Lister’s hopes were extremely high for the Williamhill.com All England Cup, but due to Taylor Cruise's injury during the heats, Lister was forced to revoke the hound from the event.
On the 3rd of October, the decision of the withdrawal was made by trainer Charlie Lister, well known for Ian Sutherland, Kennelhand, to the Scottish Derby champions training.
Taylors Cruise, the idyllic hound of the Williamhill.com all England Cup, sustained his leading position throughout the quest.
With a pointer position, the three-year-old got hold of the wire within 28.72 seconds, for C Lister.
Later on the semi-final draw was held and the black and white hound was placed in the first round of the semi-finals.
He was decided to commence his chase from trap 4, wearing black and white jacket. Previously in the heats, he was welcomed into the race through trap 2.
Although Taylors Cruise is out of the show, his trainer is still in the event with his young champion, Yahoo Jamie.
The purse winner of the first round of Williamhill.com All England Cup Heat, Yahoo Jamie, was placed in Taylors Cruise’s neighboring trap, but after the retraction of his competitor, Yahoo Jamie will be the only hound chasing the lure for Charlie Lister.
While explaining the reason of Taylors Cruise’s withdrawal, Charlie Lister said, "He was fine after the race and seemed okay when I got him home, but he’s definitely favouring a hock this morning and it looks as though he might have a strain”.
Son of Royal Impact out of Dairyland Sue, Taylors Cruise, the Irish dog, has been racing on English Tracks since the advent of his racing career.
In the year 2010, he reached the final draw of the Puppy Derby Finale. Besides that, he was the purse winner of the 2011 Scottish Derby, and the runner-up of the 2011 Yarmouth Derby Final as well.
