Charlotte Bobcats – New Orleans Hornets: NBA Preview
On Monday night Charlotte Bobcats will host a match against New Orleans Hornets here at Time Warner Cable Arena.
The two teams are in absolute parity as Bobcats are cemented to the bottom of Eastern conference and Hornets are resting permanently at the last place in Western conference. Playoff is like a wild goose chase for them and they
are both on the verge of going down into the history as worst record holder teams.
Bobcats hold the ignominious 16 game losing streak and will be striving to avoid a 17th consecutive loss on Monday. They have lost more than 17 games with 20 points and will be finishing the season with 0.106 winning
percentage, thus will be in par with 1972 Philadelphia 76ers, as they hold the NBA worst record after finishing the non lockout shortened season with a 0.110 winning percentage. Now it seems that the 1972 Sixers record is in jeopardy as if Bobcats loose all
of the remaining game they will set an unprecedented record of their own.
Amongst many other accomplishments they hold the longest home losing streak, 9 games back to back and if they remain on the current path it will be the 10th.
It’s a night mare for the coach Paul Silas who witnessed the departure of experienced players one after another. He ultimately has to rely upon a bench oozing with rookies and youngsters, naturally shooting and on court collaboration
is an issue.
"One of the problems we have is we don't have post-up people," coach Paul Silas said. "Gerald Henderson is our only guy and he really shoots a jumper over people and he makes it, but that's about all we have. So you have to play
on the outside, run pick and roll a lot. That's the kind of thing we play for."
On the contrary Hornets have started to pick up the pace since their coach gave an ultimatum that injuries will not be tolerated as an excuse. They will be seeking their 1st 4 game winning streak since a 10 game run
in January this season.

Hornets however lost their last match 73-71 to Bobcats on March 12 but they will be entering the arena confidently with the return of their playmaker Eric Gordon.  He has been suffering with various injuries throughout the season and played only 7 games. But
it seems that he is in a great shape now as he tallied 18 points in the previous match to help his team route Memphis Grizzlies 96-85.
He was happy to finally contribute meaningfully for his team and has showed his intentions to extend his stay with the franchise.
I'm trying to help this team and I'm looking forward to what comes in the future," said Gordon, who will be a restricted free agent after the season. "The future's bright here."\
It is always interesting to witness a match between tow perfectly pared opponents and the upcoming match is one of them.
