Chart and OPK's? Charters please help...

Ok I was convinced that OPK's didn't work for me due to PCOS as I have never seen a true positive OPK, nor even a decent coloured 2nd line, usually I get no line whatsoever, except just before ovulation I get the faintest 2nd line (clearly there but very faint) then for rest of cycle nothing at all, oh and that's with bloodtests confirming I do ovulate (on Clomid), sooo like usual I start testing from day 10 and OMG tonight at 6pm I actually got a 2nd line that was easy to see - still lighter then the other line but alot darker then usual WOW, just to see that alone is amazing, soo I am hoping that I will get a true positive either later on tonight or tomorrow sometime. but look at my chart? FF thinks I ovulated on cd13, so do I trust that more or the OPK if it does turn positive?

Help please

  1. that's great! you should have s*x when the OPK is positive or even now, since you are getting at least some result! Then you should have s*x every day through the day after you suspect you ovulated. keep testing to see if you get a clear positive but I recommend starting now since timing can be tricky when hubby is at work....doesn't hurt to get an early start on it since the sperm can live several days. good luck!

and yes it's normal for you to be freaking out and want to now take 100 OPKs looking for the positive :) give it at least a few hours though before testing again :)

  2. Yes it is normal.  YAY, good for you getting a line.  I know that some women don't, so that is great!

Ummm, I had a look at your chart, and I have to agree with FF.  Looks like you have ovulated already, which is a bit confusing.  Did you know that an ovulation test will test positive if you are pregnant?  I know I am throwing a spanner in the works, but today you would be 7 dpo, right?  I tested positive on my HPT at 7 dpo, and am pregnant!  I don't have an OPK to use to see if it's positive, but I have heard many women say that they get a positive on their OPK's when pregnant.  Worth doing a HPT to be sure.

Goodluck and baby dust to you!
