Chartered Accountancy or Company Secretaryship?

Question

I am in class 12 and plan to pursue either C.A. or C.S. with B.Com. Could anyone please tell me which would be better, also considering the future. I know that C.A. plus C.S. is an excellent combo but I won't be able to manage both. Please help!

Hi Dipti, I am a CA and I chose this over CS cos I didn't like theory much.. (In India the exams are not multiple choice)

Both professions have scope; it is upto you actually... If you like numbers, go for CA.. If you like theory, take up CS.... :) Simple!! Even CA has a lot of theory but the amount of theory in CS would drive me nuts!! You always have the option to do both, one after the other!! Think well... Speak to a few from each profession.. All the best!!!

what does this have to do with Special Ed?  why would anyone ask an accounting or financial question in the Special Ed section?  do you even know what special ed means?

both r lucrative in india as there is shortage of both. it depends on wht u want - if u have good management skills then go in for C.S. if u r gud in calculations and technical stuff go in for C.A.  but let me also tell u that it is mandatory for all companies to employ a C.A but employing a C.S to manage the company affairs is not cumpulsory.

apart from C.A or C.S you can also go in for C.W.A.

but whatever it is make ur choice fast coz u need 2 register urself with the board atleast 3 months in advance.
