I am a charting beginner. I had 3 POS OPK in a row last cycle. My question is .... for each cycle, once I found POS OPK, should I stop testing for that cycle and enter only one data of POS OPK or keep testing till I found NEG OPK and enter multiple data of POS OPK.

I found that FF.com gave me different O day if I enter data in different ways. Which way/ O day should I rely on?? Thanks.

  1. First, I would always use the later Ovulation date when calculating when to test. Saves disappointment! Personally, I use the CBEFM instead of OPKs, but the system is similar. And I know for a fact that I ovulate after the first positive (peak) reading, because this month I saw my RE the day of my + and he saw ovulation actually happening on the ultrasound!!! he next morning I got another +, but as we already knew, it was too late by then. So Chels is absolutely right.

  2. Can you post your chart?

My Dr. told me to stop the opk's after a positive. You should ovulate within 12-36 hours of the FIRST positive.
