Chat box for site...?

My friend is making a site, and wants a chat box on one of the pages.

I know it can be done, I've seen it many times.

But where could we go to get the code for one?

Go to google.com and type in CBox. it will take you to a site and you sign up for one (free) and then it will give you a code. You then copy and paste that code onto your site.
