Chat screens, how can I minimize them to fit multiple contacts on one screen to chat?

When I chat with someone, their chat screen takes too much space. I would like to fit at least two screens on my moniter, to make it easier to reply to responses. Can anyone help me?

lower right hand corner, put cursor there, drag toward upper left corner, should shrink window as much as possible
