Anyone know of a Chateaux near Angers that has many underground passages. Been told about it but can't remember the name or where it is exactly.

  1. Angers is close by ancient troglodyte cave dwellings which today are used as underground museums, mushroom caves, wine cellars and even restaurants. Could this be what you are thinking of? There are many chateaux around producing fine wines. You could have a great time trying to find one with underground passages.

  2. The Chateau at Chinon??

  3. Château d'Angers is a magnificent castle perched on a small hill. It does not have underground passages, what you must be thinking about is the troglodytes, which are cave like dwellings found in and around Saumur.
