Chavo Guerrero vs. MVP on WWE Superstars: Guerrero’s two week winning streak ended
This was a match between different lifestyles on WWE Superstars. On the one hand, it was the party loving wrestler from Miami, Florida, MVP, and on the other, it was the Mexican fighter, Chavo Guerrero. Both wrestlers haven’t received a title shot in the past few months, and it was an important match for both of them to establish their credibility in the professional wrestling world.
It was MVP who initially entered the arena with NXT Rookie, Percy Watson. “Showtime” Percy Watson is working hard to stay and fight at NXT. It is vital for him to learn some new skills if he wants to have any chance of survival in the NXT competition. The crowd cheered for MVP and Percy Watson as they walked on the ramp on their way to the ring.
Then it was the self proclaimed ‘Mexican Warrior’ of WWE who entered the arena. Chavo Guerrero comes from a long line of Mexican warriors: his uncle, Eddie Guerrero, became the WWE Champion. Chavo Guerrero also teamed up with Eddie Guerrero some years ago to hold the World Tag Team title around his waist. Chavo Guerrero’s grandfather, Gory Guerrero, was also a legendary fighter and wrestling promoter.
Both MVP and Chavo Guerrero are technical wrestlers and rely on technical moves instead of brute force. The match started as MVP grabbed Chavo Guerrero’s head between his legs. Chavo Guerrero replied by trapping MVP in a vicious head lock. Wrestling pundits were expecting it to be a technical match with fewer moves involving brute force and strength from both wrestlers. But then MVP and Chavo Guerrero proved every ne wrong as they exchanged hardcore punches in the middle of the ring. The competition was even and no wrestler was able to completely dominate the fight.
MVP then threw Chavo Guerrero to the ropes and delivered a standing drop kick as Chavo Guerrero returned to him. MVP tried to take advantage of the situation and quickly went for the cover, but Chavo Guerrero kicked out before the referee’s count of three. Meanwhile, “Showtime” Percy Watson was cheering for his pro, MVP, and was learning the new tactics of wrestling. MVP then received applause from the crowd as he tossed Chavo Guerrero high in the air and slammed his body hard on the ring floor.
MVP was now clearly dominating the match. But then Chavo Guerrero shifted the momentum of the fight as he delivered a drop kick to MVP’s face and threw him outside the ring. Chavo Guerrero then took the fight outside the ring and started punching MVP’s face mercilessly. Chavo Guerrero then took MVP inside the ring and banged his head on the second turn buckle. This was followed by punches and kicks by Chavo Guerrero on different parts of M. V. P’s body.
The heat was on and the crowd was heavily cheering for MVP. Both wrestlers were feeling the effects of the long fight, but then MVP grabbed Chavo Guerrero’s neck and banged his face on the ring floor to execute his wrestling finisher, the devastating ‘Play of the Day’. The great Mexican fighter was down and out and MVP went for the cover to win the match and receive the glory in front of the crowd.
Percy Watson was ecstatic as the referee raised MVP’s hand to signal his win. This was a huge night for MVP, and this win will help him in his quest to improve his professional wrestling rankings. MVP has set his sights on the prestigious Intercontinental title, and he will receive a title shot if he continues to win in the same fashion.
