  1. cruise from a port close to home

learn more from a site called cruisecritic.com

go to a travel agent to help you locate some good ideas where you want to go.

  2. You can book both at  http://www.cruiseasy.joystar.com and look for the deals for both airfare and the cruise

  3. Carnival has a 4 night cruise departing from New York on August 28th for under $500 per person.

    Here's a link:

There is an option to book the airfare with the cruise or not.  I would take a look at the price with airfare included and then also check to see if buying the airfare separately.would be less expensive and book accordingly.  If you book the airfare separately, just make sure to give yourself extra time to get to your ship before departure to allow for flight delays or cancellations.  If you book with the cruise on the same reservation the ship will most likely wait for you if you're a little late, but won't if you book separately.  You need to be at the ship 3-4 hours before departure time.since you need to be on board 2 hours before departure time.

Here's a website where you can search for other cruises and compare prices for both cruises and airfare:

  4. Send me an Email at buckscountytravel@gmail.com

I will get you all the info you need. But you have to have your father talk to me unless you are over 18 years old (as this is the law)

  5. "Amazing Tour and Travel"

they had so many selections, it would have taken me too long to type them out.

Go to this website and enter your criteria.  I did and ended up with a number of cruises that fit your requirements.

5 days out of New York on Carnival Victory sailing Sept 1 for $429.00

Weirdly enought if you can go 6 days there is a bunch on Norwegian Spirit for $399.

If you are including airfare, not sure you can still meet your budget.  Airfare has gone up so much lately cause of all the gas prices.  But I did find a few cheap cruises - you'd have to find some really good specials on airfare though.

4 days out of Miami on the Carnival  Fascination $299 on Aug 25

5 days out of Miami on the Carnival Imagination $399 on Aug 25 or 30

4 days out of Miami on the Carnival Fascination $219 on Sept 1

If you could get a good deal on airfare (maybe fly off hours or priceline it) you could be able to do this.  Just don't forget about taxes and stuff - they add up too and are not included in the price listed.

Good luck and I hope you and your dad have a blast!

  7. There is a company giving away a free Bahamas cruise if you only pay the port taxas.  You may have to pay the airfare to get down there but overall this might be the cheapest way to go.  This is from an ad in Backpage.com and I'm placing the link below for you to explore.

  8. Check out websites like Orbitz, PriceLine, Travelocity, VacationsToGo.com, CruiseOne.com.

  9. check out Carnival from NY...

  10. There's two parts to your question; the cruise and the airfare. There is the possibility of booking them both together, but that's very costly and doesn't give you much of a benefit.  If you're looking to have a really good time without going out of your budget, then there's a few different possibilities that you could take.

The start off with the flight, you could get so many different fares depending on where you're booking it. The prices are also going to differ depending on when you're looking to cruise, so its depending on when you're looking to cruise exactly which will also determine how much your flight is going to cost you. To compare different prices at different times of year, go to sidestep.com   You submit the flight you're looking for, and it compares the fares from other airline sites out there to find you the cheapest ones. Since you're looking for cheap airfare this is the perfect site for you.

For the cruise it's really going to depend on when you're available to cruise.  If you can go on the cruise when kids are in school, they're going to be a lot cheaper, and I mean that you can save hundreds of dollars per person. If you're looking in the summer, that's going to cost a lot more because kids aren't in school.  If you're going to go during school, I reccomend going after Halloween through the beginning of December. Usually the first week of November to the beginning of December are the cheapest cruises. There's really not a lot of "off season" cruise prices during the summer, although I would say the cheapest would be at the end of August because it is hurricane season. You would not have to worry about hurricanes because the destination that you're looking to go to isn't where hurricanes normally hit. To book your cruise, you could do one of two things.  vacationstogo.com   has really good deals on cruises, and sometimes offers onboard credit as well. If you find a cruise you like specifically, then go to cruisecompete.com  This site is a lot like the airfare cruise that I gave to you, you submit the cruise that you're looking for, and give them your email address, and they will send you a bunch of quotes over the course of 3 days, and you can choose the cheapest quote. This is another awesome way to save money, so you pay the lowest possibly price, instead of just looking at one price and choosing that one. You can find really great deals on cuises as long as you do your research. cruisecompete.com  will be a really helpful site for you to use.

Once you find a cruise, or you need some extra information on booking yours, definitely go to cruisecritic.com   It's the leading site in cruising, and is fantastic because it has a ton of information for first time cruisers, what to expect, etc. and also has thousands of boards that you can browse through to  learn about the ship, cruise line, port of call, etc.

    Hope this helps!!
