Does anyone know the best website to get the best (cheapest!) deals on flights to Australia? Directly from LAX. I know of an airline, but I'd like to get the tickets short notice. Thanks!

V Australia (a Virgin subsidiary) starts flying LAX-Australia in December, and is way cheaper than the current operators...

Short-notice, international... you need a consolidator.  Check http://www.cheapflights.com/flights-to-s...  -- easy to change the arrival city there (if it's not Sydney).  Also try http://www.bookingbuddy.com
