Question:

Cheap Labor?

As I was driving to work today, I saw some workers on the side of the road doing landscaping. I look over and saw a bus that indicated that they were prison workers. BINGO. Why cant we have them do the jobs that the illegal immigrants do? And we could probably have them work for MUCH less. Why don't we utilize prisoners more?

  1. What you saw was probably a state or county prison crew taking care of a state or county road, this is a common practice.

However, it doesn't work so well in a private enterprise situation. One company hires as many prisoners as they can for dirt cheap and gives them an unfair advantage over his competition, so they hire illegals at dirt cheap to compete.

The county is making money on the deal, the demand for prison labor goes up, and suddenly every car with an out of state tag is getting pulled over and everyone in them is getting sentenced to 30 days in county lock up.

It leads to a lot of messy situations.

  2. because we aren't supposed to do that without the prisinors permission. even though they're in jail, they still have rights.

  3. Because the private corporations can`t compete so they cry about it and lobby to stop it.

  4. We act like we share in the spoils of war that they do.

We die in wars, we don't get the contracts to make money off 'em afterwards!

We don't get weapons contracts, *****!

We don't get CHEAP LABOR for our companies, *****!

    We are CHEAP LABOR, *****!

Turn off the news and read, *****!

    Read... read... READ...

  5. People are to afraid of abusing there human rights

  6. I wonder why they use prison labor to the exclusion of real workers, but we all know why.
