Cheap Package Hoildays to Gambia Summer 2008?

Question

Can anyone help me, im trying to find a package hoilday (Flights/hotel) to Gambia for the summer June-August. Ive checked loads of sites and have not had any luck.

All I can find is hoildays up until April, am I searching too early?

I would like to keep the prices as low as possible, maybe under £650 pp, is this reasonable.

Everything there is already cheap...and moreover hardly anybody goes there for vacationing. I wonder what you have in mind while picking up Gambia for yr summer sojourn...

try the website GAMBIA EXPERIENCE. i was there in feb and these were the cheapest by far. otherwise try thomsons.

the atlantic in banjul town is good otherwise stick to serrakunda strip where the majority of hotels are.

the reason you can only find hols up to april is that is the end of gambia,s tourist season and most companies wont go there until nov/dec.

you will get at least b&b for your price range for two weeks, half board even if you shop around, even so eating out isn,t expensive and beer is cheap enough, about 25/30 dalasis a pint. (40 to 43 d,s a £)

tip though don,t use the hotel for money exchange unless its an emergency as you,ll get a better rate from the local taxi controller, theres one outside every hotel.
