Question:

Cheap Public Transportation in the UK and Ireland?

My boyfriend and I are staying for 4 weeks (dec 26-jan15) in the UK and Ireland (One week in Scotland, one in Ireland and two in England). While there, we're probably going to be doing all the touristy stuff (castles, museums, breweries, etc.), plus just hanging out in the area as well. I wanted to know which was the cheapest way to travel using either the tube, rail, or otherwise? Should we get a rail pass and if so, which kind? Since it's a bit expensive to rent a car, that we know of, we're probably going to be using the train or tube every chance we get.

  1. in ireland always use the bus. Ireland does not have a great public transport system. If you are in Dublin you have to take the Luas. I'm not sure about England and Scotland. Hopee this helps. xx
