Cheap Winter Sun Holidays ?

Question

Where can I find cheap holidays for Christmas 2008, I would like to go somewhere hot, but am on a tight budget (£700 pp Max).

I am from the UK and dont really want to go to places like Spain, Greece, or North Africa as I have been before. I would really appreciate all recommendations!! Thanks in advance!! :0)

you really need to go long haul for hot weather so if flying time isn,t an issue then you can get a very good holiday in Goa. once you get there it,s very, very cheap to eat and drink. for £700 you can get 2 weeks at a *3* hotel on half board if you shop around. flight time is about 10/11 hours.

if you don,t want to travel that far then Gambia, 6 hours, is just as good for the weather, slightly more expensive but not excessively so.

only problem is the "bumsters" who plague you whenever you go out.again your £700 will get you the same kind of deal if you shop around.

both places have very friendly people, india more so.

with 700 pounds you won't be able to go very far. Is Malta also ruled out? Sicily? South of Italy?

Varadero, Cuba.  It was beautiful, cheap, and entertaining.

Come to the US.

But not Vegas, Vegas is waaay to Hot.

Go to Kentucky or Ohio.

Those are the best, but kind of humid.

Try, Florida its always hot there. I love it there.

I live in Vegas, and we have pretty warm summers. :)

It depends what sort of activities you like and how far you want to travel. You would need to head south for more heat and hours of daylight. It is of course summer in the southern hemisphere when it is Christmas. The Far East or Australia may be a bit too far and expensive to get to. South Africa and Brazil are nearer. Still closer to home the Canaries and the Azores are popular in the winter months as they are still quite warm. For very hot countries at relatively short distances you could travel directly south to the West Africa countries such as Gambia.
