  1. If you want to go this year (08), you need to book NOW. Some people book more than a year in advance coz its so hard to get good accomodation when so many people are heading up that way.

Check out some of these websites:

  2. Ok, firstly..

keep an eye on the schoolies website, because you will find that closer too schoolies, people who have booked their rooms and dont end up paying the rest of it, end up losing their rooms and then they end up going on the schoolies website for cheaper.

There are some pretty good places, in broadbeach - but you would have to ring particular hotels to see if they take schoolies because some dont. Also be careful where you stay, because some have EXTREMELY strict security that if your planning on bringing friends up into your room that arent staying into the hotel they wont let you ( happened to me ).

A place called Trickett Gardens - very close to cavill avenue and the beach, is pretty cheap and i know is also on the schoolies website however it doesnt hurt to ring and see if you can book there anyway.

    Try also emerald sands: http://www.surfersparadiseapartments.com...

Your best bet is to ring the places yourself, or you can look for houses or apartments people rent out themselves by looking under " holiday rentals" therefore you and more of your friends get to be together and it turns out to be cheaper, I did that ( and managed to star at a 4 star hotel basically right on the main strip).

Oh and just a note, for your registration passes for you to go down onto the beach, dont expect to line up on mid day the day you get there and be able to go into the beach party and stuff that night, we tried too and there was an estimated 8 hour wait, the line was absolutley huge!

It took 2 days of one of us waiting in line, for us to get ours.

My advice is, either go at a ridiculous time of the morning 3am or so, or wait a couple of days in when the line has gone down.

    Either way, Enjoy your schoolies!!!

    :)

  3. You had better make your bookings fairly soon so that you have some choice of accomodation. You may have already left it a bit late for some of the cheaper places.

    Go to http://accommodation.schoolies.org.au/go...

    and http://www.breakfree.com.au

You'll need to be right in Surfer's to be within close walking distance, but there will be shuttle buses to other parts of the coast.

  4. Breakfree is the traditional schoolies accomodation. All are apartments and close to Cavill Ave.

Most accomodation for schoolies know how to charge and you will need to pay a hefty bond, but spliting it 15ways should help alot.
