Cheap accommodation Sicily?

Question

My boyfriend and I are going to Sicily in May and are looking for budget accomodation (Marsala, Catania, Syracuse & Palermo). So far, all I can find is above 70euro per night. Since I am on a budget, I was thinking of 30-50 per night. Any tips?

If you go to Palermo, definitely stay at Giorgio's House!!! He is the best host and the cost was only 30Euro and that included him picking me up from the train station, free city tours, great breakfasts and a wonderful home.

I'm sicilian and I coul help you. first of all I recommend you to sleep in B&B either to sleep in a AGRITURISMO smthg like a farm.I live in the southeast of siciliy in a area called Val di Noto and I think that there are many thing to see there. have a look on google about val di noto. Noto, Modica, ragusa Iba, Palazzolo Acreide, Vendicari, Marzamemi, Scicli are wonderful and you will feel the sicilian atmosphere.

I was a tourist guide for the val di noto area.... now I m trying to open a business in noto with sicilian food..

If you want some informations more you can contact me. I know many sicilian agriturismo or masseria and they are really good and not so expensive.
