Cheap alcohol in venice?

can you tell me cheap places to go for a drink in venice? need a address as Ive never been there before.

as you walk thru the streets off the grande canal poke your head into the small bars that have cases of little foods.  if you see a lot of old men -- not tourists --those are the places....very tough to go by addresses & you'll see what i mean when you get there...stay off the grande canal to find these small bars...

also, you are charged more when you sit so stand at the bar or tall table...

sorry  venice has no cheap places for alcohol.

Carry a bucket and a 6 foot rope.You can get all you want from the canals free of charge.

Go into the grocery store and buy the wine by the bottle.  You get more for your money when you buy the 2 liter bottles.  You can also go outside of the city to the local vineyards and sample some of the local wine (vino) the buy it by the case fairly cheaply.  A case contains 20 - 3/4 liter bottles.  The case is made of card board and not wood.

Now if you just want a drink try any cafe that is not located near St. Marko Square or the Grand Canal.  These are the main tourist areas.
