Cheap and Easy to make Costume ideas for group?

So at my campsite, they have halloween on labour day, and two of my friends and i (all girls) want to do something themed together, but we need something cheap and easy to do, any ideas?

Go as legos (the blocks).  All you need is a cardboard box, some empty plastic butter containers, and spray paint.  You can each have your own color, if you wish, or be the same color.

Cut holes in the box, and put the butter containers through the holes (from the inside of the box) so that they stick out.  Spray paint the hole thing.

You can use rope (spray painted) stapled to the box for suspenders, to hold it on.

Wear it over clothes, perhaps in the same color as the block?

The last time I went trick-or-treating, I dressed as a pioneer woman in a simple (yet beautiful) red calico dress and matching sunbonnet. You could all dress as pioneers, or cowboys and cowgirls.
