  1. The best cheap food on the Wharf are the crabs they sell to go.  They're almost out of season now, but next November if you're around . . .

Around Union Square, the Pinecrest Diner is pretty good if you're hungry late, late at night.  Also, Original Joe's on Taylor St. is great for things like burgers and steaks and some Italian food, but it's definitely a little pricier than the Pinecrest.

  2. I'd avoid the Wharf if you want cheap. Its for tourists and the food becomes overpriced. The only cheap place is In N Out.. sad huh?

But in Union Square, there is a couple of places...

    Blondie's Pizza: its cheap...

Katana-Ya for Japanese; noodles, sushi, udon

King of Thai Noodle House; fast and cheap

  3. take bart to 24th st  and venture down to the st francis ice cream parlor at york  so good  and cheap

  4. The Pork Store Cafe

    1451 Haight St

    San Francisco, CA 94117

    Phone: (415) 864-6981

Cheap, huge portions, incredible food.  Probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my whole life.
