Cheap areas to eat in munich?

I am going to munich this summer and am just wondering where the best places to find nice fairly cheap restaurants are in the city?

First off... Munich in General is expensive, but cheaper eates can be found around the Ostbahnhof. The neighborhood is a not a nice as the rest of the city, but there is a fair selection of food there.

Past i Basta near Munchener Freihet is very well priced Itallian food

It is not s**y but shopping at supermarkets is a great way to save money.  German groceries are the cheapest in Europe
