Question:

Cheap bottles and ear infections?

Right now I am using Avent bottles. But, because of the whole BPA thing that people are talking about I want to switch bottles to be safe. The Avent bottles that are BPA free are so expensive, same with born free... like 18.99 for 2. Im just wondering... do cheap bottles really contribute to ear infections? My baby had colic but hes 5 months old now so grown out of that. Would it be a bad idea to switch to cheap (BPA free) bottles?

  1. Only way babies will get an ear infection from a bottle is when it drips while the baby is drinking and drips down to the ear. Some of the cheap bottles are pretty good and don't leak.

  2. My bub drinks out of a the Playtex drop in bottles (bpa free) You can get a kit of 5-6 for $20.00 and in my opinion they are almost the best bottles out there.

  3. baby will get ear infection if your dont sit them upright when feeding them. you cant lay them flat wiht a botttle. the bottle does not cause ear infections

  4. Ear infections dont have anything to do with cheap bottles. It wouldnt matter if you switched to cheap BPA bottles.
