Cheap breaks to Amsterdam?

Question

Thinking of taking my boyfriend to Amsterdam in a few weeks for our anniversary. Anyone know any decent websites? Will be going the first or second week of August (prefer to go weekend due to work) for 2 or 3 nights. Any suggestions of where to look or how much it might cost?

Try Stenna lines ferries , long crossing but romantic , arms around each other looking out to sea . Nice crossing , get off in Hook of Holland , from Harwich .

don't book a hotel... just flights

when you arrive from the airport to centraal station just outside is the VVV a tourist information centre... there you can book your hotel.. tell them how much you want to spend and in what district and away yuo go. also you can buy a tram pass for your stay.. all done, it's so easy

Expedia.co.uk or lastminute.com, you should be able to get a weekend break for around £150-£200 per person

If you've never been to Amsterdam , the first way (and safest, and smartest, and most fun) is to do a tour.

Are you young? (No offense...you sound it). If you are, that's a good thing. If you're between the ages of 18-26 heavily discounted travel is avalible to you.

ive been 4 times - each time ive just booked a flight with easyjet for about £50 return.  when you get there there are loads and loads of hotels etc - just go in and book it.

it ends up much cheaper doing it this way
