We are on a low budget but want a dead nice restaurant, somewhere in the centre of London, with a great atmosphere...and cheap! Any ideas??

And nowhere like MacDonalds, or Pizza Hut thank you very much!

Thanks :)

  1. There's a few chain restaurants that are excellent: Ping Pong, Busaba Eathai, Wagamama, Carluccio's.

  2. There aren't any cheap restaurants in central London

    You can always try Nando's

  3. Go of the beaten track and try the restaurants of the side streets.

Although the stock pot chain in soho is good fresh food, there are also a lot of italians reasonably priced in soho.

For good market food go to spitlefields on a sunday along with good off street cafes around there.

Brick lane for a good curry - east end.

There used to ba a great tapas restaurant on the flower market, dont know if its still there.

You can eat cheap and well in london - just keep away from the main streets and tourist haunts - and chains - yuk

  4. Try Dexter's Bar & Grill in Wandsworth (or though it's a chain so they'll probably be all over London). It's not cheap as such, but if you choose wisely a main and a drink will only set you back £10.
