ok so im not gonna get into it cause it was a big mistake and i never want to relive it but a little while ago i ran from the cops in my car ( 2002 firebird) and i was able to get away but someone noticed my car and tipped them off so now i am having to sell my car and go to court for some tickets. after talking to my lawyer i am looking at 22 points on my license. most of them will be dropped but he said i would still be looking at 5 digits for my insurance. so now i am looking for a new car and just wanted some advice on what i could get that would be the cheapest to obtain and insure?

  1. Even if you get an older/cheaper car... you're driving record alone will either make you ineligible for insurance or you're going to have to pay sky high rates.

There are insurance companies out there who specialize in insuring people with bad driving records. Call a big company like State Farm or Allstate and ask if they can refer you to one of these companies. They are called independent agents and they are sometimes able to write what the big companies can't.

  2. Ford Crown Victoria, Taurus, Chevy Malibu or Impala or any Buick will be cheap to insure. These cars are considered safe and the people who drive them are usually older. Older people don't get in as many accidents as younger drivers, so the cars they drive have lower insurance. Stay away from small cars young people drive. Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans.

  3. Pontiac Vibe... *shudders*

Nissan Versa, Honda Fit, Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris.
