Cheap & central places in to stay in Paris?

Question

I'm looking to spend as little as possible on this trip to Paris, but I also want a hotel that is in the center of the city, nearby everything a tourist wants to see.

Also, I don't want to stay in a hostel. I'm going to be in a hotel. Any suggestions?

The Hotel Tiquetonne at  6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissement has a double with private bath for 50 euros. They have no online presence but can be reached at Phone: [phone] or Fax: [phone] (they are closed in August by the way)

The Hotel des Allies at  20 rue Berthollet in the 5th has doubles for as little as 40 euros. http://www.alliesparishotel.com/
