There are a lot of variable in determining whether a cruise is "cheap" or a good deal.  You have to look at the four basic types of cabins; Inside, Outside, Balcony, and Suite.   You have to consider the differences in the cruise lines;  Carnival is generally the cheapest.  You also have to consider when you want to go on your cruise; generally early bookings 9 to 12 months or more before the cruise are the lowest prices.  And you have to look at the specials and discounted cruises offer by the cruise lines.

Most of the cruise lines will have a link to their specials and discounts or deals right on their home page.  I book cruises on line all of the time for us and  I prefer Royal Caribbean because they have the easiest web site to use and book on, and good discounts too, but I have also booked on line for cruises with NCL Celebrity and Holland America.  You can also sign up on the cruise lines for them to send you their specials by email.

Royal Caribbean and Carnival are best at listing their specials. Just remember that to get the best price you must book early and be a little flexible on your travel date.  So just go to the cruise line web site and look for deals.

The best thing to do is just to search all of the cruise deal web sites, find a cruise that suits your dates and area that you want to cruise to and has ports that you like, find the best price then go to a travel agent and ask them if they can beat or match the price you have found.

If the best they can do is match the price, they will offer you some incentive like free insurance or on board credit, if they don't or can't better the offer, go somewhere else. The best deals need to be worked for.
